The Missouri Rugby Football Union was founded in 1933 and has hosted the longest running tournament in the United States since 1949. This spring 2019 will mark the 71st Annual St. Louis Gateway Ruggerfest Tournament. After 8 years in Creve Coeur Park, we relocated to our temporary home at Buder Park in Fenton, MO. This should be our last year away from our home pitches at Forest Park! Details about our new home can be found on Forest Park Forever's website.
With the restructuring by USA Rugby, the MRFU is changing it's focus from day-to-day rugby issues to concentrating more on utilizing our resources to promote youth rugby. We formally consisted of 30+ rugby clubs including Mens, Womens, Collegiate and High School. This tournament is our primary fund raiser and helps keep St. Louis on the RUGBY map.
